A Damp Valve, also known as a Dampening Valve or Shock Absorber Valve, is a type of valve used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems to control the flow of fluid and dampen pressure fluctuations or shocks.

Damp-Vent valves, or plugs, are used to address rising damp in walls, primarily by allowing moisture to escape and drying out the walls. They are a simple and cost-effective solution to prevent further damp damage, especially when moisture is trapped after waterproofing treatments or when rising damp causes paint to peel and plaster to crack.
